As a young actress just starting out, Samantha worked at a restaurant waiting tables. Her grandmother, Betty, advised her to wear a flower in her hair to make better tips. At first, Sam was surprised to hear this strange advice and thought it was some odd “superstitious idea” or an old wives tale. I might as well wear a ‘Four Leaf Clover for good luck too’ she thought. However, those words lingered in the back of her mind when she passed by a hibiscus bush on the way to work. She picked one and put it behind her ear and stepped through the door at Barney’s Burgers in Brentwood. From that moment on, Fleurings was on its way! Everyone had a nice response to the flower and to Samantha that day. Compliments were flowing from her boss, her co-workers and most importantly from the customers, “What a nice flower”, and “You look so nice and cheerful today” were common phrases heard all day. To her total surprise, Samantha counted her tips at the end of the day and they had nearly doubled. Her flower unfortunately had wilted too fast and got stuck in her hair. This is when the light bulb went on and she came up with the idea for Fleurings; small earrings and pendants to hang free from your hair so the flowers wouldn’t get tangled up and they would keep your flowers alive and fresh for hours, even days. Samantha wears them with jeans and to almost all of her red carpet events. People are always asking how to get them and now, Samantha is excited to share Fleurings with you, her celebrity friends and her family!
